Fees & buybacks
The platform fee
Swaps made through the Sidekick agent, in normal mode or auto mode, include a small 0.5% platform fee.
- The fee appears on the trade card before you sign, so there are no surprises.
- It's taken from the swap by Jupiter's routing as part of the same transaction. There's nothing extra to approve.
- Jupiter keeps a share of the fee as its routing cost. The rest goes to the treasury.
- Using the agent for research and chatting is free. The fee only applies to swaps.
- Buying or selling $SIDEKICK directly on StonkFun or other exchanges doesn't go through our platform fee. Those venues charge their own fees.
Fees fund buybacks
Platform fees are sent to the public treasury wallet:
Announced at launch
The treasury uses those fees to buy back $SIDEKICK on the open market.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Funded by | Platform fees from agent swaps |
| Buyback schedule | TBD (e.g. weekly) |
| How buybacks are made | Market buys of $SIDEKICK from the treasury wallet |
| What happens to bought tokens | TBD (e.g. burned, or held in the treasury) |
| Transparency | Every buyback is an on-chain transaction from the treasury wallet, so anyone can verify it |
What buybacks are not
Buybacks are how we put platform revenue back into the ecosystem. They are not a promise of any price, return or profit.
- Buyback size depends on how much people trade through the agent, which can go up or down.
- Buybacks may be paused or changed, for example for security, legal or operational reasons.
- Holding $SIDEKICK doesn't entitle you to fees, revenue or any share of the treasury.
